forcefulness, power, energy and vitality is the formula that has been occupying an important place in the Villa Metal Arsenal , Peruvian thrash metal band that has shared scenario with leading international groups like Megadeth (USA), Sodom (Germany), Destruction (Germany), Angeles del Infierno (Spain), Rata Blanca (Argentina), Violator (Brazil) and 2 minutes (Argentina), among others. The band was formed in 1997 and had its first presentation on November 6, 1998 at the legendary Beyond Barranco. Gradually, Arsenal was consolidated in the local scene, it got placed as a semifinalist in the Rock Contest organized by the Municipality of Miraflores in 1999, remaining in the fifteenth rather than 240 groups across the country, and causing good impression on a representative of a Colombian label served as a juror. No But it was not until late 2000 when Arsenal won public acceptance after presented in different pubs in different festivals Barranco and gender. Since that time, Arsenal was able to take his place at the scene of black leather and long hair of Lima, since his name appeared in the lineup with the best Peruvian groups of gender, even being nominated for Best Metal Band of the Year 2001 at a survey conducted by the prestigious program, "Zone 103" National Radio. While the band through the years has undergone changes in the composition, retains two of its founding members: Jaime La Rosa (vocals, guitar), Rafael Contreras (guitar, vocals), who together with Julio Cesar Jauregui (bass) and Alejandro Rojas (drums) make up the group's current lineup. To date, Arsenal is no longer an anonymous name on the local scene. He has received several awards within which public acceptance is the most important. Similarly, the first album of the band, entitled "Resisting" and officially launched in February 2007, has received very positive feedback from the mainstream media and specialized local and international.
